"This process of PRESERVING plants has been around centuries. Before camera's were around and plants were not able to be captured on film Botanists used to use this process to study any changes and record different species.
The plant is pressed into the wet clay and carefully removed to produce a negative impression, plaster is then poured onto the clay and left to set. When the clay is peeled away you are then left with a positive direct cast of the plant."
It is a bit like a 3d print.
as well as my botanical cast you will also find my printers tray foragers finds art - a selection of finds from my travels.
